PAYMENT
Payments may be completed via credit card through our secure payment gateway, eWay, or alternatively via PayPal, Afterpay, Klarna, and Zip Pay online. Afterpay is available to customers residing in Australia and New Zealand. Zip Pay and Klarna are available to Australian residents only.
RETURNS
Romance Was Born accepts returns within 14 days of delivery for items purchased via the Romance Was Born online store, provided they comply with the conditions outlined in this returns policy.
All returned merchandise must be unworn, unused, and in original condition, with all tags and packaging intact. For hygiene reasons, returns on intimates and swimwear will only be accepted where the hygiene seal remains in place. Romance Was Born does not accept returns on books, fragrances, beauty products, or earrings.
Romance Was Born reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements and may return such items to the sender.
For full-priced items, customers may request an exchange, refund, or store credit. For items purchased at a reduced price, customers are eligible for exchange or store credit only, unless the item is marked as “final sale.”
To initiate a return or exchange, please visit the “Request a Return or Exchange” section on our website and follow the outlined process. A return shipping label will be generated for your use. For further information, including international returns, please refer to the full Returns page. Please note that Romance Was Born retail stores are unable to process returns for online purchases.
SALE & DISCONTINUED ITEMS
Please make selections carefully. Refunds are not provided on discounted items unless deemed faulty. Sale items purchased online may be returned for exchange or store credit only, unless otherwise specified as “final sale.”
Items purchased on sale in-store are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or credit.
FINAL SALE ITEMS
“Final sale” applies to items discounted by 50% or more. These items are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty.
Customers will be notified at the time of purchase if an item is classified as final sale. By completing a purchase of a final sale item, you acknowledge and accept these conditions. We recommend contacting our team prior to purchase for assistance with sizing or product details.
DISCOUNT CODES
Romance Was Born may, from time to time, offer promotional discounts via coupon or discount codes. Specific terms relating to each promotion will be provided at the time of issue.
Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with other offers and are not redeemable for cash. Codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added to orders retrospectively. Romance Was Born is not obligated to refund or honour discounts for orders where a valid code was not applied at the time of purchase.
WELCOME OFFER
The welcome offer is available exclusively to new customers who have not previously made a purchase with Romance Was Born, either online or in-store. This offer applies to full-priced Romance Was Born products only and excludes sale items and third-party brands.
FAULTY ITEMS
Items deemed faulty or incorrect upon receipt are eligible for refund, and Romance Was Born will cover reasonable postage costs associated with replacement.
An item is considered faulty if it arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect. Items damaged due to normal wear and tear are not classified as faulty.
Romance Was Born reserves the right to inspect returned items and may decline a refund if the goods are found to be in saleable condition.
To minimise potential damage, customers are advised to remove jewellery when trying on garments and to keep all tags attached until satisfied with their purchase.

CURRENCY
All prices listed on the Romance Was Born website are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.
PRICING & PRODUCT INFORMATION
Romance Was Born reserves the right to amend pricing, product details, or availability at any time without prior notice. In certain circumstances, orders may be cancelled or declined, including but not limited to instances of stock unavailability or pricing errors.
While every effort is made to ensure accuracy in product descriptions, including colour, size, fit, and fabrication, variations may occur. Display settings across devices may affect colour representation, and individual garment fit may vary depending on body shape and styling.
LOST OR DAMAGED GOODS IN TRANSIT
If your order is lost or arrives damaged, please notify Romance Was Born within 7 business days of placing your order so an investigation can be initiated.
Romance Was Born will take reasonable steps to assist in locating parcels and coordinating re-delivery or returns where applicable. Once an order has been dispatched via a third-party carrier, claims relating to loss or damage may be subject to the carrier’s processes, with Romance Was Born providing assistance where possible.
